Since 1967, ICFG has brought together
expert academics and industry leaders in cold metal forming applications. The
organization comprises several subgroups, each dedicated to a specific
subdivision within the broader area of focus. This regulation providing a high
degree of flexibility to the subgroups has proved to be very effective.
ICFG is a well-established community with approximately 150 members consisting mainly of industrialists and academicians in the field of metal forming from EU countries, USA, China, India, Japan, S. Korea. Companies, researchers and academicians operating in the fields of cold forging and hot/cold metal forming from various countries participate in this traditional event, which is held in a different country every year. ICFG annual meetings provide an excellent platform for establishing connections with companies and academics in these fields. Cold forging processes offer many advantages in critical issues such as reducing emissions, energy and material efficiency. The main theme of this year's event was determined as "Sustainability and Cold Forging". In this event, where invited speakers on digitalization (process and material property simulation, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality
technologies) will take part, the issue of electric vehicles, which have the clearest road map in terms of sustainability, will be discussed, and the use of cold forging in line with the new requirements of this field in the transition period.
